Mineral & Land Records System Reports

Please note that due to a recent routine BLM privacy review, a portion of the information in certain reports has been redacted (indicated by 'XXXX'). This is to protect what has been determined in the privacy review to be Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and ensure compliance with the Privacy Act. Also note that some columns in the MLRS reporting site have changed from the preceding LR2000 output; however, all non-PII previously reported is still available.

We are working as quickly as possible to update our online reporting system to ensure Privacy Act compliance.  While it is in this temporary state, customers needing currently redacted PII for routine uses can obtain it by contacting the BLM Help Desk or their nearest BLM Public Room and submitting a request.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has developed the Mineral & Land Records System (MLRS) to replace the Legacy Rehost 2000 (LR2000) case management system, Alaska Land Information System (ALIS) (please note that Alaska records are not available in MLRS at this time), and official land status records (e.g. Master Title Plats, Historical Index, Tract Books).

MLRS is a customer-centric, geospatially-enabled Land Information System that employs nationally standardized business processes, ensuring the quality and accuracy of land and mineral records and data, while securely delivering land records information to relevant BLM employees, customers, and the public.

As of March 14, 2022, MLRS contains Mining Claims, Oil & Gas, and Geothermal cases.  For more information on the project and implementation schedule, visit https://www.blm.gov/services/land-records/mlrs

Please note that some columns in the MLRS reporting site have changed from the preceding LR2000 output; however, all information previously reported is available.
